experience

Nguyen Tien

Hi all!
I rarely hear voices from you guys ! please feel free to speak up and
share with us!
I love to share my experiences to everyone
I hosted 2 sessions 2 days ago but actually it turned out to be only
one as the first candidate didnt show up. but it's fine, the reason
might be they didnt catch the message that they be chosen, or they
just simply didnt really want to.  I do appreciate the one who know
they need to practice to make the real test better, I appreciate their
effort to try.
Thus, for the one didnt really want to present, it's hard to contact.
The second candidate showed up 2 hours in advance and I told her to
download and set up Skype, it was her first time, but she made it
good.
Skype worked out very well and their is no problem with the internet
connection. I introduced myself and ask if the candidate prefer to
speak Vietnamese at first or English, she said she wanted it totally
English, good try ;) Things were smooth and I was glad, I had prepared
the question before by Word, so my job was just keep listening to her,
taking notes, and pulling out questions when needed. I gave feedback
to her in English too, I could feel her nervousness but she was happy
when the test was over ( thinking of overcoming her fearfulness was a
yahooo! ;)
Let see, to conduct a good session, to be prepared both the
interviewer and candidate, questions need to be ready. they just can
hear our voice only so speak clear, a bit slow and pay attention to
pronunciation ( if our pronunciation is correct, there is no point
they cant understand it ) . I'm thinking of hosting it with a webcam,
as seeing the interviewer face ( mouth)  it does help them to guess
the meaning in case of confusion.
Alright, I think that's it for now.
Will share with you guys some when the next and next one coming!
Cheers,
Tien
